There is a shortage of 25-50,000BBL ocean tank barges, countered by too many 80,000BBL and above available.

Marcon had 34 inland and 34 ocean or coastal tank barges officially on the market for sale out of 705 total tank barges tracked. Fewer inland barges and a few more ocean barges are available than our last report. Average ages of barges available are relatively "newer" than those available a year ago. Most likely the result of scrapping older barges.
